CHILAURI PROJECT
Chilauri Project is a project of women by women for women to become economically empowered. Varsha Solanki from Phuldi village, Harda, is leading this project.
This project is supported by Pioneer Dom Academy and Rural Call.
OUR LOGO
Chilauri is a traditional dance of Korku tribal performed by women in groups. Chilauri dance is a symbol of joy. This dance teaches us that working together in a group brings social, cultural, and economic prosperity.
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to empower rural women for financial independence.
Why?
Tribal women face challenges such as limited access to formal financial institutions, lower income levels, and fewer economic opportunities.
Where?
Forest Villages of Rahetganv, Harda, Madhya Pradesh, India
OUR AMBITION
To build Chilauri Art Studio and support 50 women to be self-reliant by providing employment through by March 2025.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
At present, 19 women are working in Chilauri Project to design and sew clothes for women including Gandhi bags, vegetable bags, kurtis and other products.
OUR ACTION PLAN
Making godadi and other useful 5 products from cloth clippings (fabric scraps). Adding sales points in Bhopal and Indore by working on marketing and sales for continuous orders of products. Adding expert designers to the team.
